8thJanuary 1959	School reopened after the Xmas holiday. Mr. Stollery still gravely ill.
9^th January 1959	Imail(?) students until 30^th January 1959.
12^th January 19599	Miss Ward and I visited Woking Boys’ Grammar School to attend a C.E.E. meeting of Heads. 1^st boy to take D.Sc. began his work this week.
16^th January 1959	Mr. Butchers, H.M.I. visited P.M.
20^th January 1959	A Governors’ meeting in this school at 2.30pm.
23^rd January 1959	A Hygiene Inspection held A.M. Results of R.S.A. Commercial Exams received today (64% passes Stage I Shorthand and typing for year 1958) (33.3% passes Stage II Shorthand and typing for year 1958)
27^th January 1959	School closed for C.E.E. all day.
28^th January 1959	Mrs. Bruton absent (illness of child) also on 29/1/59. Maths conference (1^st year teachers) held at 3.45pm

5^th February 1959	Class registers checked with admission register – dates of birth and admissions numbers.

11^th February 1959	I attended the funeral of A.W. Stollery, Esq., who died 6th February 1959 having served as Chairman of the school Governors for over 21 years.

18^th February 1959	School resumed after half term holiday. I was absent with bronchial influenza (until 6/3/59). As a result of winning both netball matches v. Sheerwater C.S.S. today we have won both the ‘A’ and ‘B’ netball cups.

6^th March 1959	I resumed school - visited Gatton C.S.S. as 13+ examiner. Mrs. Lloyd absent attending a wedding.
9^th March 1959	I visited Lingfield C.S.S. (13+). Mr. Randall abs. ill.
10^th March 1959	Talks to summer leavers (A.M.). Mr. Rendall returned. 5 girls took R.S.A. stage I Typewriting Exam (P.M).
11^th March 1959	3 girls took R.S.A. Stage I shorthand Exam (P.M.) I visited Albury Manor Sec School (13+) and went to Knaphill C.S.S. to attend the Netball Rally at which both Netball League cups were presented to the school.
13^th March 1959	A party visited the Ideal Homes Exhibition.
14^th March 1959	(Saturday) A party attended the Hockey International at Wembley Stadium.
16^th March 1959	I attened Horley C.S.S. (13+). Lecture "A Journey from the Cape to Rhodesia” – Commonwealth Institute. 1 girl took R.S.A. Stage II Typewriting Exam.
17^th March 1959	2^nd Common Entrance A.M. School closed. Mr. Butchers H.M.I. brought Mr. Murray-Rust, H.M.I. to inspect the maphs(?)
18^th March 1959	I visited schools in Horley and Mersham (13+)
19^th March 1959	I visited Beare Green C.S.S. (13+) A.M. Woking Grammar School to attend the Woking Schools Music Festival (P.M.)
20^th March 1959	I again visited Beare Green C.S.S. (13+).
23^rd March 1959	Miss Ward absent – ill with influenza. Children v. Staff Hockey.
25^th March 1959	School closed for Easter Holidays. A school party visited Innsbruck, Austria (Mr. and Mrs. Salmon and Miss Field) during the Easter holidays.
13^th April 1959	School resumed after the Easter holidays. The school was entered by a theft on April 10^th-11^th. Nothing was stolen. £18 worth of damage to locks was done.
15^th April 1959	Miss Pope called re: Lacrosse.

20^th July 1959	I was absent – 13+ examining. A party from forms 5 and 6 visited the Ford works at Dagenham. Mr. Charman commenced duties at Maths master.
21^st July 1959	Again absent A.M. – 13+ examining. Film projector changed to more up to date model.
22^nd July 1959	Mr. Benwell, a BOAC pilot and a parent gave senior boys a talk on his work.
23^rd July 1959	New school flag delivered.
24^th July 1959	Miss Boag, Mrs. Lloyd, Mrs. B. Partlett, Mrs. Golsman, Mr. Williams and Mr. Mooney all left the staff. School closed for the Summer holiday until 1^st September 1959.
1^st September 1959	School reopened after the holidays. Miss Whapshott, Mrs. Croft, Mrs. Woomaney (supply), Messrs. Bishop, Summers, Charman, Rose and Stuart commenced duties. Also Mr. Jones. No. on roll increased to 560. Staff of 22 6-day T.T introduced.
