The school was closed today
in order that the Common Entrance Examination was held. A substitute staff from other schools invigilated
and marked the 1356 worked scripts in English, Arithmetic and Intelligence
and the Essays. Marking ended at
7.45pm and the “statistics” work was completed by 8.35pm. |

rooms, furniture etc. tomorrow because from the beginning of next term on 31st
August the school divides into two.
The West Byfleet, Pyrford
and Byfleet children remain here and those living
to the north of the line from Permanent members of staff
transferring to Fullbrook are :
Mrs. Lack becomes permanent
at Fullbrook, Mrs Bromley transfers to Sheerwater C. Secondary, Mr. Shalmon
leaves to take up a post at Chiswick Polytechnic while temporary staff cease duty here.
Other permanent members of staff remain here as a nucleus with new
appointments will be for the new staff under Mr. Goodger. |
